Birth Pool & TENS Rentals

We offer two different options for birth pool & kit rentals, depending on whether you have a doula attending your birth or not.

Birth Pool Rental + Teardown Service

This option is for anyone planning a home water birth & includes delivery, pickup and pool cleanup and teardown service within the hours after your baby has been born.

  • We will drop off your reserved birth pool kit at your house when you are ~37 weeks pregnant. At drop off, we will walk you through all of the items in the kit and make sure you are clear on how to set it up as per the instructions provided. We will also give you some ideas, tricks and tips on how to prepare your space for your home birth. Within a few hours of your baby being born, we will come to your house to clean up and tear down the birth pool kit so that you don’t have to bother when you’re busy enjoying your new baby!

  • This service is offered to families living in Surrey, Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford & Chilliwack. If you are in Delta, Tri-Cities, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge or Mission, we may be able to offer this service at an additional travel fee of $50 depending on how far you are from us.

Birth Pool + Kit Rental Only

This option is only for families who have a home & water birth-experienced doula attending their birth and does not include delivery or pickup.

  • Once you have reserved a birth pool kit for your birthing time, we will arrange a time for you to pick it up from either Steph’s house in Abbotsford or Michelle’s house in Langley City (depending on your location and availability) when you are 37 weeks pregnant. The pool kit rental goes until 42 weeks gestation or 3 days after you have your baby, whichever is sooner, and you will need to drop off the kit to whomever you picked it up from.

    This option is only for families who have a doula who we are familiar with and who is competent and experienced in setting up, caring for, cleaning and tearing down a birth pool and its equipment.

  • Rentals are available to anyone in the Lower Mainland who is able and willing to pickup from either Langley City or Abbotsford.

Elle TENS Machine Rentals

Can be added to any birth pool rental or rented on their own.

  • TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation & is a method of pain relief involving the use of a mild electrical current. A TENS machine is a small, battery-operated device that has leads connected to sticky pads called electrodes. The Elle TENS is a machine specific for people during labour. Learn more here.

  • Elle TENS rentals are available to anyone in the Lower Mainland who is able and willing to pickup from either Langley City or Abbotsford.
