Our birth doula support package includes:

  • a 6 week online My Powerful Birth prenatal education series

  • two in-home prenatal visits

  • a group chat for check-ins & communication

  • a car seat installation check

  • continuous labour, birth & immediate postpartum support

  • access to our lending library, TENS machine, rebozo, essential oils

  • home & water birth supplies, including a birth pool

  • an in-home postpartum visit

  • and more

Birth Doula Mentorship

All birth clients have the option of having our mentee, Berkley, join their birth team at no added cost while she is completing her mentorship!

What are the benefits of having a mentored doula at your birth?

Prenatal Preparation

From a simple cup of tea & chat, to helping you create intentions & wishes for your birth. We are here to listen to you, provide resources & build your confidence as your family grows.

Preparation for birth and postpartum includes:

  • Meeting twice in your home to get to know each other and individualize your care

  • A 6 week online prenatal education series

  • Access to our amazing & curated resources

  • Building your birth values

  • Setting an intention for your birth

  • Preparing your mind & body for birth

  • An exploration of any past birth & pregnancy experiences

Birthing Guidance

Holding your hand & holding your space. Your birth experience is as unique as you are. We are honoured to support you through the entire journey.

As your birthing time approaches & labour begins you can expect:

  • Continuous communication and support via phone and text

  • Our arrival within about an hour of you deciding you want us to join you

  • Our continuous presence, physical & emotional support for yourself & your family

  • Support ranging from information and affirmations, to sibling support, to hair braiding to hip squeezes, to giving your partner a bathroom break, and everything in between

  • Complimentary use of our TENS machine, massage tools, rebozo, essential oils and birth pool & kit

  • Full setup and cleanup of the birth pool & home birth equipment for home births

  • Our presence for your immediate post-birth bonding & breast/chest feeding with your newborn & new family until you are fed & comfortable

  • In-hospital support if you need to transfer for any reason

 

Postpartum Care

We believe in the forgotten practice of “mothering the mother”. Both birther & baby need a village.

Our postpartum visits include:

  • Four hours of custom support, with a focus on any of the following that feel most helpful to your family:

    • Emotional support & birth debriefing

    • Healing resources

    • Newborn care

    • Baby-minding & sibling support

    • Baby wearing support

    • Breast/chest feeding support & resources

    • Food preparation

    • Light housework like laundry
